Balsamic Reduction Recipe

A delicious reduction sauce that goes great with a huge variety of foods. This sauce will keep in the refrigerator for many weeks after it is made so you can use it over and over again.

  • 2 c balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 c raw honey
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper


  1. Place 2 cups of balsamic vinegar in a small saucepan. Add honey, garlic, and basil and bring to a simmer.

  2. Simmer until mixture reduces to about half, stirring often.

  3. Remove from heat and glaze on grilled chicken, steak, pork or vegetables.
