Ultimate Cheeseburger

A deliciously built burger with crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard, and cheese. Top it all off with mayonnaise and 1000 Island dressing and you have a burger that is to die for.

Ingredients

  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 3 lb lean ground beef or buffalo
  • 4 tbsp dill pickle relish
  • 4 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 3 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 dashes salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 slices sharp white cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • 12 slices cooked thick cut bacon
  • 1 whole tomato, sliced
  • 1 head or bag of iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 1 tbsp 1000 island dressing per burger for the bun
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise per burger for the bun
  • 4 slices hamburger dill pickle slices per burger

Instructions

  1. Peel and mince the onion. Combine the ground beef, relish, onion, Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise, ketchup, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl.

  2. Stir well and form into patties.

  3. Cook the bacon until crispy and set aside.

  4. Cook the patties with olive oil in a skillet over medium heat for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Place two pieces of cheddar cheese on the patty in the last 2 minutes of cooking time. Remove from the grill and let rest a few minutes.

  5. While the meat is resting toast the bun.

  6. Build the burger in this following order. Place 1 tbsp. 1000 island dressing on the bottom bun. Next place the tomato slices and lettuce. Then put the pickles on the lettuce.

  7. Once the bottom bun is completed, place the meat patty on the pickles and the bacon on top of the meat patty.

  8. Spread about a tbsp. of mayonnaise on the top bun and place on the burger. Serve immediately.
