Banana boats are a simple, tasty and a low-fat dessert you can make right in the campfire.
Peel one section of peel off the banana, preferably on the inside of the curve. Save the peel. I usually leave the peel connected.
Carve out some of the banana. You can toss out the extra banana or eat it.
Place chocolate chips and mini marshmallows into the groove that was carved out.
Cover the filling with the peel and wrap in foil. If the campfire you are working with is very hot, double wrap with the foil. This will help keep it from overcooking. Alternatively, these can be cooked on a grill.
Cook for about 10 minutes turning often. Check. If the chocolate chips and marshmallows are melted, it is ready. Cool slightly, these will be hot.
