Buttercream Frosting

An easy buttercream frosting.

  • 2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter (room temperature)
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2-4 tbsp. whole milk or cream
  • 1/2 c. bakers powdered cocoa


  1. Add all the ingredients to a stand mixer. 

  2. Start the mixer on low to incorporate the ingredients. Scrape the sides often.

  3. Once the ingredients are incorporated, turn the mixer on to medium and beat for 10 to 15 minutes. This will make the frosting fluffier. Add more milk slowly if the frosting appears too dry.
